Running my own business, living on my own, getting my car fixed. Then I remember that this is why I do these things. Nothing is more rewarding than sitting on my porch, at my house, drinking wine with my friend/roommate/business partner and his girlfriend. Sure, I’ve still got a lot of organizing to do. Yes, I still need to get some more business in the studio. But I’m happy to spend time with those I love on a porch, with a cool, summer nights’ breeze, and know that this is where I live and how I enjoy spending my time. Money be damned, this is perfect in the moment.
